O Instituto Ind\u00edgena Boti\u00ea Xikrin foi constitu\u00eddo no dia 1 de maio de 2008 com o nome de Associa\u00e7\u00e3o Ind\u00edgena Bemoti de Defesa do Povo Xikrin do Kankr\u00f3kr\u00f3k, como uma associa\u00e7\u00e3o civil sem fins lucrativos, com finalidades culturais educacionais, esportivas e sociais. Mas depois foi transformado em instituto para promover a garantia dos direitos sociais e a defesa dos direitos humanos do Povo Xikrin. Na atualidade est\u00e1 composto por cinco aldeias: Katet\u00e9, Djudj\u00eak\u00f4, \u00d4\u00f4dj\u00e3, Pokr\u00f3 e Krimei.<\/p>\n
