Na Constitui\u00e7\u00e3o Federal, no Art. 231 diz que: \u201cS\u00e3o reconhecidos aos \u00edndios sua organiza\u00e7\u00e3o social, costumes, l\u00ednguas, cren\u00e7as e tradi\u00e7\u00f5es\u201d, em conson\u00e2ncia com a Lei 6.001 de 19 de dezembro de 1973, no seu Art. 47. \u201c\u00c9 assegurado o respeito ao patrim\u00f4nio cultural das comunidades ind\u00edgenas, seus valores art\u00edsticos e meios de express\u00e3o\u201d. Art. 217, inciso IV, da Constitui\u00e7\u00e3o Federal do Brasil, que se traduz na \u201cprote\u00e7\u00e3o e o incentivo \u00e0s manifesta\u00e7\u00f5es desportivas de cria\u00e7\u00e3o nacional\u201d e na Declara\u00e7\u00e3o da ONU sobre os Direitos dos Povos Ind\u00edgenas, do ano de 2007, no Art. 31 diz: \u201cOs povos ind\u00edgenas t\u00eam o direito a manter, controlar, proteger e desenvolver seu patrim\u00f4nio cultural, seus conhecimentos tradicionais, suas express\u00f5es culturais tradicionais, esportes e os jogos tradicionais e as artes visuais e interpretativas\u201d.<\/p>\n
